  • The Merseyside club are interested in signing Burnley winger Dwight McNeil

Everton striker Moise Kean is reportedly set to complete a move back to Juventus.

The player’s agent Mino Raiola has been in Italy over recent days to negotiate the transfer and the 21-year-old completed a medical with the club on Sunday.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano Everton and Juventus reached an agreement for Kean over the weekend and the deal is set to be announced.

Everton boss Rafa Benitez included Kean in his squads this season, however he was sent off 15 minutes into the second half of their ill-tempered Carabao Cup tie against Huddersfield Town on Tuesday after an off the ball clash with Duane Holmes.

The 21-year-old striker failed to settle at Goodison Park since his transfer from Juve in the summer of 2019 and spent last season on loan at Paris Saint-Germain.

He rediscovered his form in front of goal with the French giants, scoring 17 goals in 41 appearances.

However, his form for Everton was far less impressive as he scored just four goals in 39 appearances for the club.

Everton need to offload players to help Benitez strengthen elsewhere with their biggest earner James Rodriguez discussing a loan to Porto as part of the deal that would bring Luis Diaz to Everton.

Benitez would like to add Dwight McNeil from Burnley and they have made an approach for Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles but much depends on what they can generate in the next few days before Tuesday’s deadline.
