Mohamed Salah's agent denies he is considering LEAVING Liverpool

Mohamed Salah’s agent denies the forward is considering LEAVING Liverpool due to their disappointing season, after reports claim the Egyptian star is ‘keen on a move to LaLiga’ less than a year after signing a new deal at Anfield until 2025

  • Liverpool have endured a dismal campaign and may miss out on the top four
  • It has been reported that Mohamed Salah is considering moving to a LaLiga club
  • Salah’s agent has claimed he hasn’t spoken to Salah about leaving Liverpool

Mohamed Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa has hit back at reports that the forward is considering leaving Liverpool this summer.

Salah put pen to paper on a new deal at Anfield last summer that is due to run until 2025, but the Reds have struggled this season and face an uphill battle to make the top four.

Jurgen Klopp’s men were knocked out of the Champions League on Wednesday by Real Madrid and are set to finish the campaign trophyless.

According to Foot Mercato, Salah is concerned by Liverpool’s alarming dip in recent months and is interested in moving elsewhere.

However, Abbas Issa has denied this is the case and tweeted: ‘Where did you get this from if not even Mohamed and I discussed this? Please tell us.’

He has insisted that he has not even spoken to Salah about leaving Liverpool this summer

Foot Mercato’s report claims Salah’s preferred destination would be Spain after spending the last six years in England.

This would appear to put Barcelona and Real Madrid at the front of the queue to sign him.

Yet Barcelona currently have Raphinha and Ousmane Dembele to cover the right wing, and this may not be a priority position for them to strengthen in the next transfer window.

Meanwhile, Ernesto Valverde – who can also play in central midfield – and Rodrygo have largely played on the right flank for Madrid this term.

The uncertainty surrounding Salah’s future could be a worry for Liverpool fans after they lost Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich last summer, while Roberto Firmino has already confirmed he will depart the club at the end of the season.

Salah leaving would mean the famous front three would have all moved on in the space of 12 months, marking a new era on the red side of Merseyside.

Following his £39million move from Roma in 2017, Salah has been a massive hit at Anfield, and recently moved past Robbie Fowler as Liverpool’s top scorer in the Premier League era.

He has won the Premier League Golden Boot three times, and his overall record at Liverpool is a remarkable one, having netted 178 goals in 293 games for the club.
