Manchester United ace Paul Pogba is enjoying a brilliant spell of form at the moment, but his agent Mino Raiola has floated the idea of him leaving for Real Madrid in a swap deal for Eden Hazard.

Pogba is under contract until 2022, but so far there has been no talks over an extension.

Raiola has constantly talked about the possibility of him leaving, and has frequently flirted with taking him to the Bernabeu.

And he did so again this week, as he floated the idea of Pogba being swapped for Real Madrid's Hazard, who is facing a difficult future in Spain.

Raiola said: “And if tomorrow Madrid wants to make a Hazard-Pogba change? It is just an example. And if all four parties like it, why not?”

While that move would severely impact United's squad depth, it could be good news for Donny van de Beek.

The Dutchman joined from Ajax last summer in a deal worth £40.5million, but hasn't been able to crack into the first team.

  • The 24-year-old has only started two Premier League games, with Pogba and Bruno Fernandes both ahead of him in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's pecking order.

However, he showed flashes of his ability on Thursday as he took the Frenchman's place in the side against Roma.

Van de Beek is still believed to have a promising future at Old Trafford, and could have his place in the side increased if Pogba were to make way.

The Dutchman is known for his versatility, considering he can play anywhere throughout the middle of midfield.

But Thursday night's game proved he can also play out on the left, giving him an extra string to his bow.

While it's been a difficult debut season for Van de Beek, he could still have an exciting future ahead.
