Men’s Olympic soccer quarterfinals: Complete schedule for all the knockout round matches

Now the fun really begins in the men’s Olympic soccer tournament. The knockout round bracket is almost set and nearly every region in the world is represented.

Brazil will look to make it two gold medals in a row when it sets on its path in the knockout rounds beginning with a match against the second-place team in Group C. Should it survive the quarterfinal round, Brazil would meet South Korea or a qualifier from Group A in the semis.

The other side of the bracket sees Ivory Coast as a potential medal candidate. The African side has already shown its mettle in group-stage draws against Germany and Brazil and will like its chances to make it to a gold-medal match if it can get past the top team from Group C in the quarterfinals.

Beginning with the quarterfinals, if matches end in a tie after the 90 minutes of regulation, there will be 30 minutes of extra time that are played (two 15-minute periods). And if the deadlock is not resolved in extra time, a penalty-kick shootout will be used to determine the winner. The last gold medal match in 2016 between Brazil and Germany went to penalty kicks.
