Mbappe breaks public silence over Messi’s PSG arrival after ‘quit’ rumours
Kylian Mbappe has broken his silence over the transfer of Lionel Messi to Paris Saint-Germain after posting pictures of the pair on his Instagram.
Mbappe's silence on the transfer coincided with reports suggesting he wants to leave the French giants this summer with his contract up next summer.
His team-mate Neymar has been vocal on social media since news broke that Messi was on the verge of joining PSG but this was not the case for Mbappe.
Messi has joined the club on a free transfer after he was blocked from resigning for Barcelona and has signed a two-year deal with the option for a third.
Mbappe posted a selection of four pictures to his 55million followers of the pair meeting at the club's training ground with the caption "Welcome to Paris, Leo."
The World Cup winner also shared the post on his story, writing "Legend" in tribute to the six-time Ballon d'Or winner.
This broke Mbappe's silence on the deal as reports circulate suggesting he wants to leave the club in the wake of Messi's arrival and has already asked the club to facilitate a transfer.
Mbappe's current contract expires at the end of the coming season and as of yet there is no new deal on the table with Real Madrid and Liverpool both interested in his services.

A move could happen this summer if a fee can be agreed and this would put Real in pole position, but if he is not sold before the end of the window and becomes a free agent in July 2022 then more clubs will come to the table.
The 22-year-old is valued at £145million but will likely cost less than this if he is to force a move from the club due to him being in the final year of his current contract.
PSG do not expect Mbappe to leave the club anytime soon, however, with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi saying he has no choice but to stay during Messi's unveiling on Wednesday.
"I think we have the most competitive team. Now there is no choice for Kylian but to stay here in Paris," he said as he sat alongside Messi in the press conference.
"I think everybody knows the future of Kylian, people from Paris and the players. He is a really competitive player. He wants to win, he wants to win trophies, he said it in public.
"He wanted a competitive team and I think we have got the most competitive in the world. So there is no excuse for him now. He can't do anything else but stay."
Since joining the club from Monaco in 2017, Mbappe has won 11 trophies in four years including three league titles and with the arrival of Messi, PSG are favourites for this season's Champions League.
