Mark Noble screams ‘FORE’ as wayward drive goes straight into golf fans

West Ham legend Mark Noble was forced to yell "fore" after his wayward drive flew off the side of the fairway at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

The former Premier League star had linked up with American world No.15 and Hammers fan Billy Horschel for the pro-am tournament. The duo took the course at St Andrews alongside other pairs over the weekend.

And Noble got off to the worst possible start as he hooked his drive right off the tee – and out of bounds. Noble was forced to yell "fore" as the ball dipped down to a crown of bystanders.

Despite the ball hooking way out of bounds, it suspiciously made its way back onto the fairway.

One of the Sky Sports commentators joked: "There must be a Hammers fan in that group!" While his college added: "It's amazing the spin these amateurs get on it, it's quite incredible!"

Noble had told The Sunday Times ahead of the tournament: "It’s so interesting for me to see someone who is an elite-level golfer and the way his mindset is with golf, the way mine was with football. To be invited to play at the Dunhill is incredible, but to play with your mate, your friend, is very special."

Noble hung his boots at the end of last season – but the retired life doesn't seem to have suited the Prem cult hero.

The midfielder is already back in the game with his beloved West Ham after the Hammers announced he has been appointed as their new sporting director.
