Bayern Munich have Atalanta forward Rasmus Hojlund on their summer wish list, according to a new report – but they will have to fight Manchester United for the Dane’s services.
Hojlund has attracted interest from across Europe, with the Serie A side putting an £86m price tag on him because of his work with Atalanta, scoring nine goals in the Italian top-flight.
It has led to high speculation that he could join Manchester United, and Erik ten Hag had a video call with the young talent – but it seems that the Red Devils have competition for the 20-year-old.
Hojlund had reportedly expressed his interest at joining up with ten Hag’s side this summer, but it seems that he will have a number of options available to him.
German outlet Bild have named Hojlund on Bayern Munich’s list of targets for the transfer window.

Thomas Tuchel manages the German giants as they bid to retain their Bundesliga crown again
He was singled out by the club’s former sports director Hasan Salihamidzic for his similarities to Manchester City hotshot Erling Haaland, while Werder Bremen’s Niclas Fullkrug and Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos were also considerations.
If Hojlund were to join the German giants, he would be utilised by Thomas Tuchel as he bids to retain the Bundesliga title with Bayern, as well as continuing their attempts to challenge for the Champions League trophy.
Other options that Bayern were reportedly considering – including Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani and Napoli’s Victor Omishen – are likely to cost a significant chunk of money, and the German champions are looking at alternatives.

Their attempts to bring Harry Kane to Germany also failed when the 29-year-old decided that he wanted to stay in England.
Manchester United’s Christian Eriksen recently said that he ‘can see’ Hojlund in a red shirt next season, hailing the 20-year-old as a ‘fantastic guy’.
However, the high price could be a sticking point for Man United, although they are tempted to offer Amad Diallo on loan to help sweeten the deal.
With Bayern Munich also instigating a potential bidding war for the Danish striker, it will be interesting to watch developments surrounding Hojlund over the summer.
