Manchester United may loan Anthony Elanga out amid interest from Championship clubs, according to reports. The youngster has a bright future at Old Trafford. But he could be set for a temporary departure, at a time where Daniel James is set to join Leeds.
Manchester United saw Elanga shine during pre-season, with the 19-year-old scoring in a 2-2 draw with Brentford.
And, now, the Manchester Evening News claim he’s wanted by Championship clubs on deadline day.
It’s not mentioned who exactly is pursuing the Swede but there’s certainly a possibility he’ll leave by 11pm tonight.
And, if that happens, he’ll join James out of the exit door.
United signed the Wales international from Swansea in June 2019, landing the forward following their failure to sign Jadon Sancho.
James started well, scoring three goals in his first four games for the club.

However, now, a parting of the ways appears to be on the cards after two years at Old Trafford.
Leeds have agreed to pay United a fee of £25million for their wing wizard, who has started two of their opening three league games.
Yet the return of Cristiano Ronaldo means Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now happy to let James go, despite him moving to one of their fiercest rivals.
Ronaldo’s shirt number could be announced today, too, with the club hoping to hand him the No 7 shirt.
That jersey is currently occupied by Edinson Cavani, who made his first appearance of the season against Wolves on Sunday.
But United will seek special dispensation from the Premier League in order to give Ronaldo the shirt number he wants most.

Juventus have confirmed Ronaldo’s exit with a statement this morning, saying: “On 10 July 2018, two icons of the European and football world came together – Cristiano Ronaldo became a Juventus player.
“Today, after three years together and 133 appearances, 101 goals scored and five trophies won, that chapter has come to an end…. The paths of CR7 and Juventus have gone their separate ways.
“On that day in July, when Cristiano arrived in Turin, the electric feeling of those great days could be felt through the air.
“The Juventus fans welcomed CR7 like a king, eager to see him on the pitch and cheer with him. It was a great story.
“The unforgettable moments experienced together were many.
“We could recite them and relive them, but it would not help, because everyone has their own special memory linked to CR7.
“Everyone has a shared emotion that does not need to be dusted off, because everyone will always remember what they felt in walking this stretch of road together.
“Today that bond born on July 10, three years ago, has been dissolved, but what has been written will forever remain. It has been an incredible journey.”
Regarding incomings, Express Sport understands United could yet sign Neves.
However, that’s still unlikely with the clock ticking down.
