Cristiano Ronaldo has announced he'll play in Manchester United's friendly against Rayo Vallecano this weekend.
The Red Devils legend has been pushing for a move away from the club but posted "Sunday, the king plays" in an Instagram comment. He has failed in his quest to secure a transfer exit from Old Trafford in recent weeks.
Amid the uncertainty surrounding his future, Ronaldo didn't return for pre-season due to family reasons. But he arrived for training at Carrington earlier today (July 29) ahead of their final outing before the Premier League season gets underway.

Erik ten Hag's squad has been split in half, with 21 players flying to Oslo where they will face Atletico Madrid on Saturday. The rest will make up the squad to take on fellow La Liga side Vallecano on Sunday at Old Trafford.
A statement on the club website read: "Some of those absent from the squad will take part in Sunday's game against Rayo Vallecano, while others are ill or injured.

"The squads for the matches have been designed to ensure that available players get adequate game-time across the two fixtures."
Ronaldo told United chiefs he wanted to leave earlier this summer, but agent Jorge Mendes has struggled to convince Europe's top clubs to take an interest in his client. Atletico were the latest club to turn him down, with their fans unfurling a "CR7 NOT WELCOME" banner.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner returned for crunch talks earlier this week. He is reportedly still seeking Champions League football for next season, but could be stuck at United for the final year of his contract.
