Man Utd to meet with Eduardo Camavinga’s entourage ‘next week’ in hope of deal
Manchester United will be meeting with Eduardo Camavina’s entourage ‘next week’ as they look to seal a deal for the midfielder.
The Red Devils’ transfer window so far has been dominated by their pursuit of Jadon Sancho, having failed to sign the 21-year-old in 2020.
But they appear to be about to reach an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the forward’s price.
And French outlet RMC [via Get French Football News] have reported that the conclusion of the deal will see them target young defensive midfielder Camavinga.
The Red Devils have been monitoring the 18-year-old for several months, having enquired about his price with Rennes last November.
With only one year left on his deal at the Ligue 1 side, The Mail said United were considering a move to contend with PSG, Real Madrid and Arsenal
But reports from France say that they are about to take the plunge, with the Premier League side ‘ready to meet’ Camavinga’s people next week.
It comes as United were ‘alerted’ to Rennes’ desire to sell the 18-year-old for a profit rather than let him leave next year for free.

The youngster broke through at the end of the 2018/19 season after signing his first professional contract that season.
And he has not looked back since, making 95 senior appearances that also included Champions League minutes this season.
His first international call-up came in August last year – replacing Paul Pogba due to a positive Covid-19 test – and scored his first France goal in the second game.
Camavinga now has three appearances for his country but missed out on Euro 2020.
Should a move to United happen, he would already have the support of his compatriot in the midfield who heaped praise on the teenager in December.
Speaking to Get French Football News, Pogba said about the 18-year-old: “He's a little dancer.
“He reminds me of me. He has confidence in his qualities and is a very good youngster.”
