Cristiano Ronaldo has been blasted following Manchester United’s disastrous 5-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday by talkSPORT pundit Micky Gray – who has also urged the club to cut their losses and get rid of Paul Pogba.
A stunning hat-trick from Mohamed Salah set the Reds on their way to making history in their biggest ever win over United at Old Trafford.
Early goals from Naby Keita and Diogo Jota had Liverpool cruising at 2-0 up after just 13 minutes before the Egyptian got in on the act by taking his tally to a staggering 15 goals for the season in all competitions already.

After heading in 4-0 down at the break, things only got worse for United in the second half as Salah completed his treble shortly after the action resumed before Pogba was dismissed barely a quarter of an hour after coming on for a wild lunge on Keita.
United have come in for harsh criticism after the sobering result, with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer facing tough questions on his future – with the Norwegian defiantly insisting that he remains the right man for the job.
But Gray had choice words for some of United’s big hitters, with Ronaldo’s ineffective and Pogba’s cheap dismissal slammed by the former defender.
“Everybody applauded the Ronaldo signing and there have been big occasions but you should’ve seen him today. He was walking around for the last 20/25 minutes,” Gray told talkSPORT after the match.
“I don’t know where to go with Manchester United.
“They’ve got Sancho on the bench and they bring on Diogo Dalot. What must Sancho be thinking? He’s come to a club like Manchester United to play week in, week out.
“The result wasn’t down to the sending off. It was a ridiculous challenge from Paul Pogba,” added the former Sunderland man.

“His attitude really does need looking at. Yes, you get left out, but the best reaction is you going to your manager and saying ‘right, gimme a game and I will prove to you that I should be in this starting XI.’
“There are certain players at this football club, I don’t think they’re going to be here in the future. Man United should just cut their cloth accordingly with Paul Pogba.
“Okay, they spent on him but moving forward he’s not a part of Manchester United. He just brings bad blood.
“People often point the finger at Paul Pogba but that is not the reaction of a player that wants to prove that he wants to be at Manchester United. It was terrible from him.”
