Man Utd ‘respond to seven offers’ as the Glazers advance process
Ten Hag gives Man Utd team news update for Everton match
Manchester United have reportedly invited seven bidders to submit new offers for the club, with a takeover edging closer. Fears were growing that the Glazers may be digging their heels in at Old Trafford, though the wheels now appear to be in motion.
According to Sportico, United have invited a third round of bidding from prospective buyers, with new offers scheduled to be submitted before the end of the month.
They claim seven groups have been informed that they are in the next round by the Raine Group, whilst also receiving feedback from the New York-based investment group on their previous offers.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, who both went public with their interest in attempting to buy United, are among the seven to have progressed to the next round. All five of the other investors have remained private and it is unclear as to the amounts that each of those groups has tabled.

It is well reported that the Glazer family wanted to shake hands on a takeover by the end of the season so that the structure of the club was settled and ready for the summer transfer window – may that be a complete exchange or minority shares sold.
However, with the clock ticking, it remains to be seen whether that aim is met in time for Erik ten Hag to establish whether his transfer funds will be bolstered for the summer or not. The Dutchman is impressing at Old Trafford and his players have heaped the praise on him and his work, with Christian Eriksen the latest to emerge with comments on the former Ajax boss.

Speaking to the UTD Podcast, he said: “He’s brought discipline in football terms, and ideas. His ideas are being imprinted in the players, compared to the beginning. Looking at them now, people know what they’re doing on the pitch. So, I think he’s done the structure, the discipline and then of course, his idea is just fun football to play.”
“If you compare it to the first few games of the season, I think we are in a completely different situation. Already we have won a trophy, which I think is exceptional compared to where we started and me joining as a new player. But I think in football terms, of course, there are still things you can improve on. I’m sure the manager would say the same as well, there are things you could improve. Of course, the league is far off, but in the cups, we want to go as far as possible and of course, we want to win them.”
