Man Utd, Liverpool and Barcelona eye transfer moves for former Arsenal winger
Manchester United and Liverpool are among a growing list of clubs keeping tabs on Serge Gnabry amid his contract stand-off with Bayern Munich.
Gnabry has made more than 150 appearances for Bayern – scoring 53 goals – since signing from Arsenal in 2016 for a fee of just £5m.
The Germany international has established himself as a key player for the Bundesliga champions, scoring at least ten goals in each of his seasons at the Allianz Arena.
Gnabry has been in talks with his club over a new contract for several months but Sky Germany say the two parties are currently some way apart in terms of figures.
It is claimed Gnabry wants parity with some of Bayern Munich’s biggest stars including former Manchester City forward Leroy Sane, having scored 12 goals and provided seven assists in 27 games this season.
Only Robert Lewandowski has netted more time for Bayern this term and the German giants are beginning to fear that Gnabry will follow in the footsteps of Niklas Sule, who could leave this summer as a free agent.
With Gnabry’s future the subject of much speculation, reports in Germany say Manchester United, Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all keeping tabs on the situation and could make moves this summer if he fails to put pen to paper on a new deal.
Gnabry would prefer to stay at Bayern Munich and manager Julian Nagelsmann is desperate to keep hold of the 26-year-old.
Nagelsmann recently said: ‘I would wish for nothing more than that he would extend [his stay at Bayern].’
Gnabry made 18 appearances for Arsenal but left in 2016 due to a lack of game-time under legendary Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
