Borussia Dortmund striker and reported Manchester United target Erling Haaland will see his future decided in crucial talks between the German club and his agent Mino Raiola, according to reports. Haaland is widely expected to move on at the end of the campaign after establishing himself as one of Europe’s finest marksmen in recent seasons.
The 21-year-old has bagged 74 goals in 72 games for Dortmund since joining the club from Red Bull Salzburg in January of last year.
He has missed a large chunk of the season through injury but scored upon his return to the Dortmund side last month before following up with another goal against Bayern Munich on Saturday.
Haaland is currently tied down until 2024 but is said to have a release clause of around £68million written into his contract that will come into effect in the summer.
United are known to be long-term admirers of the forward and made an unsuccessful attempt to bring him to Old Trafford from Norwegian club Molde back in 2019.
They have been tipped to reignite their interest in his services ahead of next season and it seems as though a move to England could soon be on the cards for Haaland once again.

Dortmund have already planned showdown talks with Raiola in order to discuss the possibility of a post-season departure, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
It is also claimed that the Bundesliga heavyweights are eyeing a move for Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi as Haaland’s potential successor.
The teenager, who scored on his international debut for Germany earlier this year, has reportedly been earmarked as Dortmund’s priority target for the summer transfer window.
Club chiefs are said to have already reached out to Salzburg in order to register their interest in Adeyemi’s services.
However, nothing has been agreed between the two clubs as of yet, with Adeyemi set to make a decision on whether to seek a new challenge over the next few months.
The Salzburg starlet has already scored 15 goals in all competitions this season and looks set to keep firing on all cylinders between now and the end of the campaign.
He could be poised to emerge as the ideal replacement for Haaland, who is still yet to indicate his transfer preference ahead of the January window.
Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke recently conceded that he could be powerless to stop Haaland from leaving the club if he decides to push for a summer exit.

“I think we will speak [with Raiola] in the next few weeks,” Watzke told Amazon Prime Video earlier this week.
“We are not in control alone. We are a bit dependent on signals coming from him and his agent.
“There is no pressure to negotiate that we now have to extend the contract.
“Will he trigger the clause or will he not? [We] will be trying to find that out before March or April.”
