Fans have questioned Manchester United's pursuit of Jadon Sancho after being impressed by the club's youngsters ahead of the Europa League final.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side could sign Sancho for around £75million after it was reported that Borussia Dortmund were prepared to let the 21-year-old leave in the summer transfer window.
The England star has long been touted as a potential solution on the right side of the attack for United – although other players have been staking their claim.
Mason Greenwood scored seven goals during a recent 10-game spell while playing mainly on the right, helping the Red Devils secure second spot in the Premier League and a place in Wednesday's showdown in Gdansk.
The 19-year-old is expected to ultimately end up leading the line, but has proved a useful option in a position which no player has yet nailed down.
Teenagers Amad and Anthony Elanga were given a chance to impress in Sunday's win over Wolves – with the latter opening the scoring from a Dan James cross from the left.
And after Amad was compared to Lionel Messi following a moment of brilliance in a practice match this week, fans have been questioning whether United actually need to spend on Sancho.
In a video shared on social media, the 18-year-old could be seen winning the ball in midfield before carrying it forward with his right foot, then feigning onto his preferred left and slicing open the defence with a perfectly-weighted through-ball for Dan James to fire past David de Gea.
One fan said of Amad on Twitter: "We all already know this boy is a huge talent and soon will be a starboy. He should be given more and more playing time. That’s why I’m a little bit confused If signing superstar like Sancho is really needed when we have Greenwood and Amad two absolutely top talents."
Another said United have other priorities before splashing £75m on Sancho, tweeting: "Greenwood and Amad, do we really need to take the chance on sancho? We need a striker, centre mid and centre back before that."
Another supporter said Sancho could be "as good as Sancho", saying: "From little what I have seen from Amad so far wish he was couple of years older and had experience.
"He can be as good as Sancho on the right He is a top top player man. Just hope he stays focussed and ole gives him chances."
And one fan pointed to the Ivorian's performance on Sunday, tweeting: "As much as I’d love Sancho at United, Amad looked unreal against Wolves."
United legend Paul Scholes is in no doubt, however, naming Sancho as one of the players his former side should target this summer.
And one supporter said the arrival of Sancho could only help Amad, tweeting: "Rashford and Sancho under his wing is gonna help him massively let’s not forget Bruno, Pogba etc as well."
