Man Utd fans let rip at Fred after he is ‘bullied’ by Gray for Everton goal

Manchester United fans have held nothing back on Fred after he was 'bullied' off the ball by Demarai Gray, leading to Everton's equaliser.

Fred appeared to have Gray pinned on the sideline, around the halfway line, but the winger managed to wriggle himself free and square the ball to Abdoulaye Doucoure.

The Frenchman then found an onrushing Andros Townsend, who smashed the ball past David De Gea to level the score after Anthony Martial had put the hosts ahead at Old Trafford.

United were then lucky to evade defeat as Yerry Mina was judged to be marginally offside by VAR.

However, United fans were quick to place the blame on Fred's shoulders.

"Fred getting bullied again…it's becoming a weekly occurrence," one fan tweeted in response to the goal.

Another added: "You telling me Ole plays 2 CDM’s and trusts them; for them to be bullied by Demarai Gray? The CDM’s for top half clubs win those balls. Fabinho, Rodri, Kante to name a few. Fred just ain’t it."

"Fred gets bullied every time!" a third concluded.

Owen Hargreaves chimed in with his opinion on BT Sport after the match: "Sir Alex [Ferguson] wouldn't forgive you for that. You wouldn't play for one month."
