Man Utd fans blame Casemiro for Newcastle disaster – even though he’s suspended

Manchester United fans turned on Casemiro after their disappointing 2-0 defeat at Newcastle.

The Red Devils were played off the park by their top four rivals at St James' Park. Goals from Joe Willock and Callum Wilson gave the hosts a deserving victory which saw them move ahead into third in the Premier League table.

And while he wasn't playing – instead serving the second game of his four-match ban for his second red card of the season against Southampton last month – Casemiro was blamed by some of the United fanbase on social media.

One tweeted: "This is all Casemiro’s fault when you deep it. Shouldn’t be getting sent off every week." A second replied: "I agree. He better be careful when he’s done serving his match bans."

"I was just about to tweet this. Why does he like putting us in these positions," commented a third. A fourth added: "100% right, cost United big time these last two months."

A fifth argued: "He killed us." And a sixth said: "Yeah you’re right mate, cost us today. We might be alright against Everton and Brighton because we’re at home."

"This is all Casemiro’s fault btw," echoed another, while one slammed: "Casemiro is an absolute f***ing IDIOT."

Having also missed a match for accumulating five yellow cards earlier in the season, the Brazilian midfielder will have ruled himself out of at least eight league games.

A lot of other United fans shot down those taking aim at him. He's been widely regarded as one of the signings of the season having helped transform their midfield.
