Man Utd fans ask ‘who is bloke in the Fred mask’ after stunning goal vs Barca
Manchester United fans were left raving after Fred equalised for the Red Devils against Barcelona at Old Trafford.
The Brazilian midfielder pulled the home side level during the second leg of their Europa League play-off round tie against the Spanish giants on Thursday night. United had gone behind on the night and on aggregate before half-time after Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring from the penalty spot following a foul by Bruno Fernandes.
However, United were level less than two minutes after the interval as Fred rifled the ball past Marc-Andre ter Stegen and into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

His strike had United supporters flocking to social media to react to the goal, with one tweeting: "Who's this bloke in the Fred mask?"
Another wrote: "Fred is cooking after the goal." A third fan added: "Fred made that goal look so easy." One more also commented: "Fred might not be our best player but damn he sure knows how to score a goal when it’s needed most."

Fred's goal was his fifth of the season and his first in the Europa League this campaign, having last scored for United against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup earlier this month.
The Brazilian midfielder produced a fine second half performance against Barcelona as he imposed himself on the opposition midfield to the delight of the United fans.
His goal opened up the match, with both sides going close before United substitute Antony put Erik ten Hag's side ahead to complete the turnaround inside the final 20 minutes.
Antony's goal would have been seen as well-deserved by the United fanbase, who had been angered by the decision to award Barca a penalty during the first half.
Bruno Fernandes was adjudged to have fouled Alejandro Balde after the teenage full-back went to ground inside the penalty area after being tugged back by the United captain.
