Manchester United nut Mark Goldbridge fumed at Chelsea's penalty on Saturday and claimed it shouldn't have been given due to an "unwritten rule".
Erik ten Hag's side looked to have thrown away a hard-earned point when Scott McTominay tangled with Armando Broja inside the box three minutes from time. Jorginho duly stepped up and dispatched the spot-kick before Casemiro headed home to rescue a 1-1 draw in stoppage time.
Despite United's late equaliser, Goldbridge was left fuming at the award of the penalty, even though he acknowledged McTominay was "massively silly" for giving the referee the option in the first place.

"I'm disgusted by that penalty decision," he said. "Thankfully, Casemiro has saved many Manchester United fans from injustice tonight. That was never, ever a penalty. People will be screaming at their screens and their radio saying 'Goldbridge, what are you on? It is a penalty, he's wrestled to the ground in the penalty box.'

"I agree, everywhere on the pitch, that is a foul. But there are unwritten rules in football and Stuart Attwell – the referee – has basically created a situation tonight which is going to contradict itself very, very quickly.
"That happens numerous times per game in both penalty boxes. I've seen it for years. You go 'he's grabbing hold of his shirt, he's wrestling him,' and the penalty never gets given because it's an unwritten rule in football that you don't give a penalty because you'd be giving out four or five a game.
"So when you're watching Southampton vs Arsenal or Spurs against Newcastle, if I was an Arsenal fan, Spurs fan, Southampton fan, or Newcastle fan, I'd be saying 'where's our penalty?' I know Scott McTominay is massively silly for what he did but I see that every game, numerous times and penalties don't get given."
However, not everyone saw it quite the same way as Goldbridge. One fan commented: "It’s a penalty. They go by the written laws." As someone else wrote: "Was a pen and I’m a United fan."
A point for United kept them in fifth, while Chelsea remain in fourth, six points adrift of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table.
