Man Utd ‘chasing two other targets’ as Erik ten Hag eyes Adrien Rabiot transfer
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag reviews Wolves win
Manchester United have two other targets in mind as Erik ten Hag pursues a deal for Adrien Rabiot, according to reports. It emerged over the weekend that the Red Devils were eyeing the Juventus star – nearly a year after they’d missed out on the midfielder. The 28-year-old is due to become a free agent at the end of the season.
Manchester United targeted Rabiot last summer after struggling to sign Frenkie de Jong, who ended up staying in La Liga with Barcelona.
But interest has apparently been reignited as the midfielder edges ever closer to leaving Juventus behind.
Now, according to RMC Sport, United are firmly in the hunt to land Rabiot on a free transfer at the end of the season.
It’s claimed they’re eyeing the France international as they prepare to return to the Champions League, with Ten Hag’s side just two wins away from finishing in the top four.
Rabiot ‘has not made any decision’ on his future yet, having previously indicated a willingness to stay at Juventus.

And the report says Manu Kone and Randal Kolo Muani are under consideration at Old Trafford as well, having impressed for Borussia Monchengladbach and Eintracht Frankfurt respectively.
Kone is a target for United in case Rabiot opts to stay at Juventus and sign a new deal.
Kolo Muani, meanwhile, is being eyed by the Red Devils as they look to bolster their attack amid a desire to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
Should Rabiot move to Ten Hag’s side, he’d become the latest free agent to join the club.
Jose Mourinho brought in Zlatan Ibrahimovic upon taking over from Louis van Gaal in 2016, with the pair proceeding to win two trophies together.

Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the club swooped to recruit the likes of Edinson Cavani and Tom Heaton.
And, just last summer, United capitalised after Christian Eriksen’s short-term contract at Brentford expired.
Many United fans have protested against a possible deal for Rabiot, despite his obvious talents.
But Paul Parker, speaking last year, expressed a belief he could emulate club icon Eric Cantona should he move to the Premier League.
“Everyone is throwing up a wall of hate against him (Adrian Rabiot) at the moment because everyone is looking at his history,” he said at the time.

“They (Man Utd) need something different. They need somebody who’s got a point to prove.
“I think, if you would have looked at the same things in 1992 when Eric Cantona come to Manchester United. The only thing he was living off was the season with Leeds and winning the league and winning Championship; the last league Championship and beating Manchester United to that title as well. That’s all Eric had in his locker.
“So Manchester United fans could have been saying that about him then.”
He added: “I don’t think you can really judge him (Adrian Rabiot) straight away. Some people find their home.
“Eric Cantona found his home. He was a maverick and he found a sheriff in Sir Alex Ferguson, who was willing to leave the jail door open for him.
“And that’s called good management.
“So maybe if he (Rabiot) gets managed right you can get more.”
Rabiot could feature when Juventus face off with Sevilla on Thursday night (8pm).
