Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick has spoken out ahead of his side’s Premier League clash with Burnley. The Red Devils won 3-1 in the same fixture earlier in the campaign. And they’ll be hoping for a repeat of that result as they look to finish in the top four.

Manchester United will go into their match with Burnley at Turf Moor looking to bounce back.

The Red Devils have endured a difficult campaign so far, with their season hitting a new low in the FA Cup on Friday.

United lost to Middlesbrough on penalties after the game had ended 1-1, with Matt Crooks cancelling out Jadon Sancho’s strike before Anthony Elanga missed the decisive spot-kick.

While the club experienced heartbreak in that competition, however, they have won their last two matches against Brentford and West Ham respectively.

Rangnick has now spoken at a press conference ahead of United’s match against Sean Dyche’s side.

And he’s insisted he has a good relationship with Jesse Lingard.

Lingard wanted to leave the club in the January transfer window amid interest from Newcastle and West Ham.

However, he was forced to stay at the club and, since then, refuted Rangnick’s claim that he’d asked for some time off.

Now, the 63-year-old has insisted he and Lingard have a good relationship despite their recent issues.

“With regards to Jesse, I have a very good relationship with him, he knows I would have been willing to let him go at least until the issue with Mason came up, he mentioned some personal issues,” he said.
