Tottenham forward Harry Kane’s immediate future looks to be far from certain, with the England skipper reportedly keen to seek a new challenge in the summer transfer window. Kane has played a pivotal role for Spurs this season, chipping in with 36 goal contributions from 33 Premier League appearances, but it seems as though chairman Daniel Levy could be set to lose his star man ahead of the new campaign.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City are all keeping a close eye on his situation at Tottenham after informing club chiefs of his desire to move on, according to Sky Sports.

The 27-year-old has never attempted to hide his wish to compete for trophies at the highest level, with last month’s Carabao Cup final defeat representing yet another missed opportunity.

Chelsea and City would offer him the chance to fight for Premier League and Champions League titles, as would United, but it remains to be seen whether any interested party would be prepared to meet Levy’s reported £150million asking price.

The Blues are said to be pursuing the addition of a prolific forward, with Timo Werner failing to live up to expectations since his summer move from RB Leipzig.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s side are in need of a top-class replacement for Sergio Aguero, who will leave the club at the end of the season.

United have reportedly toned down their interest in landing a new striker after Edinson Cavani signed a one-year extension earlier this month, but the Red Devils are said to be firmly in the hunt for Kane’s signature in advance of a possible approach for his services.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is known to be a keen admirer, with the Norwegian boss previously revealing his belief that the Spurs talisman is up there with the most talented stars on the planet.

“When you’re playing against one of the best centre forwards in European football, of course it’s something that we prepare for,” Solskjaer told reporters ahead of his side’s 3-1 win over Spurs last month.

“I think every team, when they play Tottenham or England, you know Harry Kane’s qualities. But we prepare the defenders for every single opponent.

“The season that Son and Kane have had, their relationship is one of Tottenham’s strengths and they have other quality players we have to be aware of.”

Meanwhile, former City defender Micah Richards has declared that Old Trafford could be the ideal destination for Kane this summer.

The 32-year-old also suggested to BBC Radio 5 Live that his former employers could be inclined to snub the Spurs man in favour of Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe.

“Of course he [Kane] would work at City, he works hard and he scores goals,” said Richards.

“Would they pay £150m for him? No, they wouldn’t. They might pay £80m or £90m, but they are not going to get him for that.

“They would be looking for youth if they were going to spend £150m. They would go for Haaland or Mbappe.

“The thing is, I think Kane is a perfect suit for Man United. Him and [Edinson] Cavani up front for that one role, one play, one rest, you would have two top strikers.

“Kane would be the No 1, with Cavani being managed correctly, because he is 34 and you can see the impact he can have starting, or off the bench.”
