Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag refuses to speak to Sky Sports reporter due to ‘issue’
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag refused to speak to Sky Sports reporter Gary Cotterill ahead of their weekend trip to Southampton.
Cotterill was sent to United's Carrington training ground by Sky for Ten Hag's press conference today (August 26) but was told shortly after arriving that his questions would not be answered. He asked away regardless and was subsequently snubbed by Ten Hag.
It's thought the Dutchman took issue with Cotterill after he was doorstepped by him at Crystal Palace, where he'd been watching on from the stands on the last day of the 2021/22 season. The reporter was unsuccessful in his attempts and told the security to stop pushing him away.

After being blanked by Ten Hag for the second time, Cotterill said: "I’m surprised. It was just two people doing their job but I’m assuming he was offended by it.
"The thing at Palace was him doing his job and not commenting and me doing my job and trying to get a comment. I’m only guessing that was the reason.
"I haven’t been told. You saw what was said but I don’t think it would be too much of a leap to assume it was about that."
Was Ten Hag wrong or right to snub Cotterill? Let us know in the comments section.
Cotterill was criticised for pestering Ten Hag after United had concluded their miserable campaign last time out with a 1-0 defeat to Palace. He later tweeted about the incident twice, first posting a picture of Ten Hag shaking hands with United officials with the caption: "I can feel the Ten Hag sincerity from London."
A further upload on his Twitter account was a picture of him with former United boss Louis van Gaal. He wrote: "A Dutch manager’s reaction to being asked a question in the street by sky reporter AFTER getting the Manchester United job. But BEFORE taking up the role. No not ten Hag. This was May 2014. Look and learn."
Both posts have since been deleted, but it seems Ten Hag hasn't forgotten about the events of May.
