  • Former Ajax star was spotted at Carrington and uploaded a picture of himself
  • The Brazilian secured his dream move to Old Trafford on deadline day in August

Manchester United star Antony took a selfie on his return to training on Monday after missing the last four games with a leg injury.

Erik ten Hag said that he expects to have the Brazilian winger and captain Harry Maguire back for United’s Europa League clash against Barcelona and this Sunday’s Carabao Cup final.

Antony, 22, has not played since the 2-1 win against Crystal Palace on February 4 and Maguire missed Sunday’s 3-0 win against Leicester with a minor knock.

The former Ajax star was spotted at Carrington and uploaded a picture of himself in training gear with the caption: ‘Thank you God for another day of work’.

However, Ten Hag says Anthony Martial, who has only played 14 times in all competitions this season, remains absent.

Erik ten Hag expects to have the Brazilian winger available for United two upcoming clashes

‘We still have the training to go, but I expect Harry Maguire and Antony dos Santos available,’ Ten Hag said.

‘Anthony Martial is not available. He’s back, back on the pitch, not back in the team training so we wait for that.’

Antony has been open about his ‘humble’ beginnings and shared how he grew up in the Brazilian favelas.

He secured his dream move to Old Trafford on deadline day last summer, having previously spent two seasons at Ajax under now-United boss Ten Hag.

‘I was just a humble little boy from a favela,’ he told Sky Sports. ‘I didn’t have boots to play football.

‘I didn’t have a bedroom, I slept on the sofa. I lived in the very middle of the favela. Twenty yards from my house there were drug dealers.

‘Sometimes you would be watching a game on a Sunday and there would be that smell, a smell of cannabis coming into the house.’
