Man City legend Sergio Aguero’s former mega mansion hits market for £20k-a-month
Sergio Aguero's former mega mansion has hit the market as he prepares to leave Manchester City for Barcelona on a free transfer.
The Argentina forward, who had fallen out of favour under Pep Guardiola, came back into the fold against Everton and scored twice as a second-half substitute in the 5-0 win at the Etihad.
On the day that he received his fifth Premier League winners medal, the 32-year-old became the highest scorer for a single club since the division was rebranded in 1992 with an astonishing 184.
Aguero's final game in the famous sky blue kit will come in their Champions League final showdown against Chelsea on Saturday, a competition that he had promised to win before leaving the club.
Ahead of that, a huge Park Lane mansion he had previously been renting has been listed by leading estate agents Gascoigne Halman, who have described the property as an 'astonishing detached house situated in one of the most sought after residential areas'.
As well as having the 'highest standards' of security with a gated entrance, the house has a leisure complex that boasts a gym, cinema and swimming pool with a Jacuzzi and steam room.
Across the three floors there are multiple reception rooms and five 'expansive' double bedrooms, with six bathrooms and a fully functioning automatic passenger lift.
In addition, there are several large parking spaces and a double garage, with the garden described as good sized with a patioed area which could be utilised for entertaining guests and BBQing.
The £20,000 per-calendar-month property is sure to interest local footballers.
The club icon told fans on Sunday: "I want to say thanks to everyone, the staff but also the fans."
Before adding: "I'm so happy. I want to say thanks to my teammates, the medical, the staff. I'm so happy."
Guardiola fought back the tears to say goodbye to his former star forward, hinting at a move to Barcelona for Aguero and link-up with fellow Argentina forward Lionel Messi.
He told Sky Sports after the match: "We love him so much.
"He’s a special person. He’s so nice. He helped me a lot… we cannot replace him, we cannot.
