Liverpool 'plot sensational triple move in January transfer window'

Liverpool ‘eye stunning triple transfer swoop in January for Arnaut Danjuma, Gleison Bremer and Marcelo Brovozic’ to strengthen the side with Mo Salah and Sadio Mane set to miss action on African Cup of Nations duty

  • Liverpool will miss several key figures during the African Cup of Nations
  • Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita are expected to be on international duty
  • Jurgen Klopp’s side are reportedly interested in making three January signings
  • Gleison Bremer, Marcelo Brozovic and Arnaut Danjuma are all linked to the Reds

Liverpool are reportedly considering a sensational triple move in the January transfer window for Marcelo Brozovic, Arnaut Danjuma and Gleison Bremer.

The Reds made just one signing in the summer to bring Ibrahima Konate to Anfield in a deal worth £36m from RB Leipzig.

Jurgen Klopp’s side could find themselves short in January, with Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita all set to be away on international duty during the African Cup of Nations.

Arnaut Danjuma and Gleison Bremer have both been linked with moves to Liverpool

Liverpool could also make a move for Marcelo Brozovic who is a free agent next summer

The Sun have now reported that Liverpool could look to get around the issue by strengthening their squad when the window opens.

Liverpool are well-stocked in midfield but have suffered a number of injuries this season with Thiago, Fabinho, Naby Keita, James Milner, Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones all missing some game-time.

They also decided against bringing in a midfielder during the summer, despite Georginio Wijnaldum leaving at the end of his contract to join Paris Saint-Germain.

So the Reds are said to be interested in signing Inter Milan midfielder Brozovic, who will be a free agent at the end of the season.

Liverpool are rumoured to be willing to pay the Croatian international £120,000-a-week, to fight off interest from other top European sides including Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United.

The Reds are said to be willing to pay a cut-price fee in January for Brozovic, despite being able to sign him on a pre-contract agreement for nothing next summer.

Klopp is also interested in signing a winger due to Salah and Mane’s absence in January.

They are said to be interested in former Bournemouth player Danjuma who is enjoying a great season at Europa League winners Villarreal.

Fabrizio Romano revealed that Liverpool ‘love’ the 24-year-old Dutchman who has scored seven goals in 15 appearances this season.

The Reds are also believed to be interested in Torino’s Brazilian defender Bremer.

Liverpool already have a good selection of centre-backs to choose from including Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, Konate and Nat Phillips.

Klopp though is said to be keen on Bremer as he looks to avoid a repeat of their injury plagued season in the last campaign.
