Liverpool fans spot Henderson reaction to Thiago for mistake which changed game

Liverpool fell apart against Leicester on Saturday after Thiago gave away a cheap free-kick on the edge of his own penalty area which cost his side the lead.

Mohamed Salah had given Jurgen Klopp’s side the advantage following a fine piece of skill from Roberto Firmino, but James Maddison was on hand to level from the aforementioned set-piece.

That goal was followed by a mix-up between Alisson and Ozan Kabak with allowed Jamie Vardy to score, before Harvey Barnes raced clear to grab a third.

Before Brendan Rodgers’ men stole all three points, the incident between Thiago and Henderson caught the eye of spectators at home.

One fan wrote: “Henderson is raging with Thiago.”

With a second adding: “Made up to see Henderson b********* Thiago for that foul, he needs to up his game for me, too many rash tackles.”

A third continued: “Henderson giving Thiago a b********* over that and rightly so. And I couldn't give a t*** how we win this just need a win.”

A fourth concluded: “Henderson going mental at Thiago. Gives away 20 stupid fouls a game.”

Glen Johnson offered his opinion over the poor form of Thiago before the match, noting that the Spaniard is not currently comfortable.

"When Liverpool were linked with Thiago before they signed him, I was happy and thought he'd be fantastic," Johnson told Betting Expert.

"He's world class but he has to have a floating role where he can do what he wants.

The result leaves Liverpool six points behind Leicester and five behind Manchester United, who also have a game in hand.

The Reds will drop out of the top four should Chelsea avoid defeat against Newcastle on Monday, and Klopp will be hoping for a response against RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Tuesday.
