Liverpool fans fume at 'awful' away kit after Nike's design is leaked

Liverpool fans fume at ‘absolutely awful’ new away kit after Nike’s daring, multi-coloured waves design is leaked online… comparing it to ‘a migraine aura’ and ‘a 2003 TV when the satellite dish fell over’!

  • A Nike Liverpool away kit for next season has been leaked on social media
  • The strip features a white shirt crossed with confusing multicolored wavy lines
  • Last season’s Liverpool away kit was much more understated than the new one
  • Fans took to Twitter to attack the kit, with one saying Nike had ‘failed miserably’

Nike’s design for Liverpool’s next away kit has not gone down well with fans after being leaked online.

The kit – shared by Esvaphane on twitter – features a white shirt with wavy lines of various colours crossing the torso.

It has been something of a shock to the system after an understate gold away kit last season.

Some fans took to Twitter to vent their frustrations with Liverpool’s leaked new away kit

This will be the third season Nike have supplied kits for Liverpool, and the reviews from the Anfield faithful have not been good.

‘Nike have failed miserably with our kits so far, maybe one nice one out of the lot. This is absolutely awful,’ one fan tweeted, while another asked ‘Is someone taking the p*** with this?’

Liverpool’s fortunes have taken a turn since switching to Nike. In the final two seasons that New Balance provided their kit, they won the Champions League and Premier League.

Under Nike, the Reds have had one trophyless season and one that promised a quadruple but only delivered two domestic cups.

Other fans took a more creative approach in their criticism, with one saying: ‘Looks like a 2003 TV when the satellite dish fell over.’

Another was more blunt: ‘F*** off are we playing away dressed as migraine aura’

Some saw an opportunity from the kit, with one supporter commenting: ‘We gonna hypnotise opposition players.’

The disappointment fans have felt at the new kit is a typical dip in a rollercoaster summer for the Reds.

Some fans took a creative approach to criticising the daring new strip on social media

It began with the disappointment off missing out on the double compounded by losing Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich and Erling Haaland signing for Manchester City.

Spirits would have risen after signing Darwin Nunes and keeping Mo Salah at the club, but the disappointing away kit will be another blow for the Kopites.

Liverpool will be hoping to put the new strip to good effect as they look to edge past City and win another Premier League title.
