Liverpool fans dreaming of next transfer after Joao Felix spotted at Wembley
Liverpool fans have been sent into a frenzy after transfer target Joao Felix was spotted at the Carabao Cup final on Sunday afternoon at Wembley.
The Portuguese playmaker was linked with a move to Anfield in the January transfer window but a deal never materialised for the forward.
But the fact that the 22-year-old watched the Reds beat Chelsea on penalties in the cup final last weekend has led some fans to speculate that Felix was scouting his future teammates.
The Atletico Madrid star reposted a snap of him with his friends at Wembley on his Instagram story, and the Reds fanbase responded quickly.
One fan tweeted: “He is one player I would love at Liverpool. Still has so much potential. He would cost around £60-70million, in my opinion. A quality Firmino replacement right there.”
Another added: “Looks like a cracking player to me. Bear in mind that he plays for a defensive-minded manager. Klopp would set him free.”
“Love this lad. Hope to see him playing for us someday. He deserves better than Atletico,” said another Liverpool supporter.

Plenty highlighted that Felix could be viewed as a long-term replacement for forward Roberto Firmino, who is out of contract in 2023 and yet to put pen to paper on a new deal.
The Brazilian has been a terrific servant to the Merseyside outfit since signing for the club from 1899 Hoffenheim in 2015, but he is no longer one of the first names on the team sheet.
The arrivals of Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz over the past few years have meant that competition to start as a no.9 for the Reds is at its peak.

Firmino may deem now a good time to draw to a close his time in the Premier League.
Atletico may also not be overly reluctant to part ways with Felix if they are able to secure the signature of Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich.
The Polish forward is out of contract in 2023 and has made it clear that he is ‘open to anything’ as his deal runs down, which El Chiringuito has claimed has given Atletico the green light to pursue the striker.
