Erling Haaland to Real Madrid ‘is practically done’, according to Spanish pundit Eduardo Inda. The Borussia Dortmund star could leave the Westfalenstadion when the transfer window reopens this summer. And though Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City are all admirers of the striker, they could be poised to miss out.

Haaland has established himself as one of the world’s best strikers during his time at Dortmund.

The Norway international has been in blistering form this season, scoring over 30 goals across all competitions already.

Inevitably, he’s been tipped to leave Dortmund at the end of the campaign amid links to many top European clubs.

Manchester United want to sign the forward, viewing him as the perfect replacement for Edinson Cavani should the Uruguay international leave.

Manchester City consider Haaland to be the ideal signing amid their belief Sergio Aguero will leave the Etihad Stadium behind at the end of the campaign.

And Chelsea are keen too having seen Olivier Giroud, Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner blow hot and cold this term.

OkDiario chief Inda, however, has now claimed that Haaland to Real Madrid ‘is practically done’.

He said: “Haaland’s signing for Madrid is practically done. It is closer than it seems.

“One of the keys is Florentino’s great harmony with the president of Dortmund, who are contemporary and get along very well.

“The negotiation with Raiola is being carried out by Jose Angel Sanchez and the agreement with the footballer is closed.”

Dortmund have set a price of £129million in order to let Haaland leave – and Inda claims Real will try and haggle the price down.

“It would cost around 150 million euros in total,” he said.

“Real Madrid is seeing how to pay for it.

“They have the best financial situation of all the teams in Europe, but they are doing the stadium at the same time and they are looking at how to finance it.

“They are seeing how to get the money with the exits.

“Among others, they could get money with Varane, who has a year left on his contract or Casemiro, although I think he will not end up leaving.

“Varane has a better chance of leaving. He is p***** off with the criticism he has received in recent times and for being singled out.”

Meanwhile, Real Madrid duo Sergio Ramos and Benzema have both recently talked up Haaland.

Ramos said: “Haaland or Mbappe if I were a coach? I would like to have both of them, but a coach does not sign.

“Perhaps, due to the circumstances and the current situation, today I think it would be a little easier to sign Haaland.

“It would never be bad to reinforce Madrid with a 9 like Haaland, who has something that we do not have: speed, hunger, height … Mbappe has it too, of course, but it would be much easier today to come to terms with Haaland.”

And Benzema said: “How am I going to talk about a player who is not at our club? What Sergio [Ramos] said the other day was Sergio’s thoughts.

“I have been here for a long time and every year we talk about strikers who could score goals for Real Madrid.

“Haaland is a young player who scores a lot of goals at his club. That’s all. He has to work hard to help his team.

“And if one day he has the chance to come to Madrid, and if he does want to, he would join us. That’s it.”
