Liverpool's home kit for the 2021/22 season appears to have been leaked – while what looks like a concept away kit has also surfaced.
But some fans are not happy – particularly with the home design, which one supporter said looked more like a kit for fierce rivals Manchester United.
Liverpool are in their first season in Nike strips, having switched from New Balance last summer.
Jurgen Klopp's side won't be Premier League champions when they don next season's new strip. But they will hope to be kings of Europe once more, having made the Champions League quarter-finals with their victory over RB Leipzig this week.
While the Reds' 4-0 aggregate victory had fans smiling again, many weren't impressed when pictures of a new home shirt hit social media.
The 2021/22 home shirt, according to Footy Headlines, is predominantly ‘gym red’, features ‘bright crimson’ diagonal lightning-bolt stripes across the torso, along with the collar and cuffs, with ‘fossil’ logos and detailing.
Responding to the picture, one Reddit user said it "Looks like a mix of a United and Chelsea kit".
On Twitter, one fan described it as "boring", while others said "bring back Reebok" and "I miss Adidas already".
Another said it "has Europa League written all over it" – hinting at fears Liverpool could miss out on a top-four spot this season.
But one supporter described it as "super cool and simple", while another said it was "class".
As fans were responding to the home kit, what appeared to be a concept away design also surfaced on social media.
The interesting-looking shirt is largely white, with a black 'splash' design on the front and detailing featuring the turquoise colour from the current away kit.
Described by on Twitter as a 'potential away kit' for next season, the strip also met a mixed reaction.
One supporter responded by saying: "Personally I think it's kinda cool".
But another described it as an "insult to the eyeballs", saying: "If this is our actual kit, i can only assume it’s a punishment from Nike for how bad we’ve been this season, in fairness the quality of that kit does reflect our performances against Fulham, Burnley etc."
Liverpool will look to build on their return to form against Leipzig this week when they travel to face Wolves in their next Premier League clash on Monday night.
