Lionel Messi’s dad ‘spotted in Saudi’ as PSG star set to be offered £194m deal

Lionel Messi's dad might well be preparing for his son's life after PSG having been 'spotted' in Saudi Arabia with the World Cup winning star set to become a free agent.

Messi is months away from the expiration of the two-year contract he signed in Paris last year, having twice fallen short in the Champions League round of 16.

With rumours swirling over his future as he approaches his 36th birthday, Jorge Messi has been spotted in Saudi Arabia with links to a £194million-a-year contract.

A pair of snaps of Jorge reportedly in Saudi have gone viral, with the Argentine seen talking to a local while wearing dark shades and carrying a satchel.

The visit could well be in relation to Messi's ambassadorial role on the Saudi Arabia Tourist Board, but Spanish outlet Marca have reported transfer interest.

Their report says that Messi will be offered the same wages as Cristiano Ronaldo in a bid to get him to join the Saudi Pro League in the summer.

Messi's destination would reportedly be Al Hilal, with Saudi chiefs hoping that their top football division becomes a 'world reference' in their sporting conquests.

Back in February, PSG sporting director Luis Campos said that talks regarding Messi's contract at the club were underway.

"At the moment we are negotiating with Messi his renewal," Campos told Telefoot.

With Messi winning 10 La Liga titles and 26 cup trophies, he may well win Ligue 1 for the second time this season alongside his seven Ballon d'Ors.

Having also netted 712 club goals across his career, Messi might join with Ronaldo in saying that they work in Europe is done.
