Lionel Messi’s £5m Miami condo has six pools and 1,000-bottle wine cellar
Lionel Messi's luxury Miami apartment includes access to six swimming pools and a 1000 bottle wine cellar as well as a private chef – and he could yet move there permanently following two years at PSG.
The Barcelona icon left the club earlier this week following 17 seasons in their first-team squad – joining Les Parisiens on a two-year deal with the option of a third.
In what could've been an early preparation for a spell in MLS, Messi bought the entire ninth floor of a luxury Florida apartment block back in April earlier this year.
Also included in the purchase is access to a spa, fitness centre and children's playhouse, totalling to 511 square metres of space across four bedrooms and as many bathrooms.
The property is said to have cost the 34-year-old a hefty £5million, but that is dwarfed by the estimated £30million he will earn in each year of his two season contract in Ligue 1.
With views of the ocean from the top of the building, the family with have access to a private chef – with The Sun reporting that he previously bought an apartment in the Porsche Design Tower in 2019.
Messi said in 2020: "I always said that I have the impression that I would like to enjoy the experience of living in the United States, of living in that league and that life.
"But if it happens or not I don't know."

One potential next club is David Beckham's Inter Miami, who have made their plans no secret.
Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas said: “David and I have been working really hard.
"We have aspirations of bringing the best players here and Leo Messi is a generational player, arguably the best player of all time.
“I am optimistic Messi will play in an Inter Miami shirt because I think it will complete the legacy of the greatest player in our generation and will meet with the ambitions of the owners of Inter Miami to build a world-class team.”
Messi said this week after signing for PSG: "I have this will to play. I am really impatient.
"I still want to win, as I did the first moment of my career.
"I feel this club is ready to fight for all the trophies. This is my goal, I want to keep growing and keep winning titles and that is why I came to this club."
