Leeds United set price for Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea to sign Raphinha

Leeds United will demand €55m (£47m) to sell Brazilian winger Raphinha this summer amid interest from Barcelona, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea.

Raphinha has thrived at Elland Road since completing a £17m move from Ligue 1 side Rennes in October 2020.

The 25-year-old helped Marcelo Bielsa’s side secure a top-half finish in the Premier League during the 2020-21 campaign and scored 11 league goals last season to help the club avoided relegation.

While Leeds United beat the drop on the final day of the season, Raphinha is still expected to leave the Yorkshire club this summer, having attracted interest from some of the biggest sides in Europe.

La Liga giants Barcelona are believed to be at the front of the queue to sign the Brazilian, although Premier League rivals Arsenal, Man United and Chelsea have all also expressed interest.

Leeds know the value of Raphinha and will hold out for a fee in excess of €50m (£45m), according to Fabrizio Romano.

While Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked with Raphinha for several weeks, Arsenal’s interest only emerged yesterday.

Mikel Arteta spent around £150m on new signings last summer and wants to oversee another spending spree and bolster his squad following the club’s Champions League setback.

Meanwhile, Brazil and Barcelona legend Ronaldinho has already urged his compatriot to sign for the Nou Camp club this summer.

‘I would very much like him to come,’ he said last month. ‘He has a lot of quality, he would fit in very well with Spanish football due to his playing characteristics.’
