PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe has stoked the flames of speculation linking Mauricio Pochettino to Manchester United by refusing to outright back him after their latest result. Meanwhile, serious questions have been asked about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since suffering another home defeat, this time to rivals Manchester City, and the international break could leave the Norwegian vulnerable.
Mbappe was amongst the goals on Saturday as PSG clung on to see off Bordeaux and keep distance between themselves and the rest of the pack in Ligue 1.
A 3-2 struggle against the relegation-threatened side was not on the agenda, however, as PSG conceded twice as many attempts as they managed themselves.
Things are therefore not entirely rosy for Pochettino in Paris at present, and the same can certainly be said for Solskjaer at Old Trafford.
Saturday’s Manchester Derby went with form, and the 2-0 scoreline flattered United who were broadly outclassed by Pep Guardiola’s City side.

With more boos around the ground and further rumours of unrest in the dressing room, Solskjaer has come under renewed pressure since their latest loss.
Antonio Conte had been heavily linked with the hotseat before being snapped up by Tottenham last week, limiting the United board’s options if they do decide to make a change.
Pochettino is one name who has always been in the mix, however, and Mbappe was hardly convincing when he recently spoke about the Argentine’s future.
“Everyone has a right to an opinion. People think we play badly,” he said.
DON’T MISS
“I personally don’t think we’re playing well at the moment, but we’re winning.”
When pressed on the issue of Pochettino’s future, he stated: “I’m not the person who should be talking about that and whether there’s time or not.”
“It’s the president, Leonardo and the directors who need to say that.”
For a team currently sitting 10-points clear at the top of their domestic league, it was hardly a ringing endorsement from one of their star players.
Pochettino has plenty of Premier League experience from his time with Southampton and Tottenham.
With the latter, he led Spurs to a record second-place finish in 2016/17, missing out on the title by just seven points.
His attractive style of football is also thought to have perked the interest of United in the past, so rumours of unrest in France could well be music to their ears.
