Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are 'main objectives' for Real Madrid
‘Two stars and their destiny’: Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are Real Madrid’s ‘main objectives’ this summer as they bid to become Europe’s dominant force again… but bringing back Cristiano Ronaldo is ‘NOT an option’
- Real Madrid are planning a big summer as they look to dominate in Europe again
- The Spanish giants want to sign superstars Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland
- However, they will steer clear of re-signing club legend Cristiano Ronaldo
- Madrid have endured another inconsistent season – sitting third in LaLiga
Real Madrid are planning a big summer which could prove pivotal to their long-term future as they are set to go all out to sign Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, according to reports.
Madrid have endured an inconsistent season in Spain and currently side third in LaLiga but have managed to qualify for the Champions League quarter-final for the first time in two campaigns, and will face Liverpool next month.
The club are desperate to be crowned kings of Europe again and Marca have reported that they are ready to push ahead with mega-money deals for superstars Mbappe and Haaland this summer to make that happen.
Marca have reported Real Madrid will go all out for Kylian Mbappe and Cristiano Ronaldo
Mbappe and Haaland have been tipped to dominate world football for years to come
The Spanish publication’s headline on their front page on Saturday morning read: ‘Two stars and their destiny’, with Madrid making them their ‘main objectives’ while they added that there will be a ‘major reconstruction’ at the club next season.
Meanwhile, the report also claims that re-signing club legend and five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo is not an option.
Ronaldo’s future at Juventus is far from clear after reports linked him with a move away following fierce criticism in Italy, having been at fault for their Champions League defeat against Porto when they were knocked out last month.
But the Spanish giants appear to be steering clear of an emotional move for the 36-year-old Portuguese star.
Madrid won’t make a move to bring back club legend Cristiano Ronaldo this summer
Madrid have been long-term admirers of both Haaland and Mbappe, who are the two stars tipped to take the mantle from Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as the best players in world football.
But Madrid face an almighty task to bring Haaland to the Bernabeu after Borussia Dortmund reportedly set a staggering £154million asking price for their star striker.
The Norwegian forward has been sensational since arriving at Dortmund from RB Salzburg last January, scoring 49 goals in as many games, including 10 in six Champions League matches this season.
And with Dortmund struggling to qualify for next season’s Champions League, the likes of Madrid – along with Man United, City, Chelsea and Barcelona – are all on red alert.

But ESPN recently reported that Dortmund have set a premium of £154m (€180m) for the 20-year-old, a year before a £65m release clause kicks in.
Meanwhile, Mbappe has been the subject of heavy interest from Madrid for quite some time now.
The Frenchman has once again been in superb form for Paris Saint-Germain this season, scoring 30 goals and creating nine assists in 36 matches.
Mbappe’s current contract at the Parc des Princes runs out in the summer of 2022, and Madrid will be desperate to prise him away from the French capital.
