Kompany interrupts press conference to tell reporter he ‘looks like Timo Werner’
Vincent Kompany interrupted his press conference mid-answer to tell one reporter that he looked the spitting image of Chelsea flop Timo Werner.
The Burnley manager spoke to the press following his side's 1-1 draw in the Lancashire derby against Preston at Deepdale, with him gobsmacked at the resemblance between Lancashire Evening Post journalist Tom Sandells and the German striker.
While talking about his side scoring, the Belgian continues to look at on reporter in the room, with him losing all concentration before saying: "Has anyone told you [that] you look like Timo Werner?"

The entire room full of media and staff burst into laughter, leaving the journalist red-faced. He continued: "I keep looking. I knew he left Chelsea but that's harsh because he missed a few goals straight away."
LEP journalist and part-time Timo Werner lookalike Tom Sandells shared the clip to social media where it quickly amassed thousands of likes, with him tweeting: "Was sat listening to Vincent Kompany last night, noticed he kept looking towards me then he came out with this…"

People enjoyed poking fun at the sports journalist, with @jackgoodwin2001 replying: "He’s not the only one… I’ve thought that for a long time."

The Manchester City legend hasn't had the worst start to life as Burnley manager after the side was relegated last season and he made the move from Anderlecht in Belgium.
The Clarets currently sit fifth in the Championship, with fans at Turf Moore hoping to see a bounce back to the Premier League.
