Kane’s tearful wife Kate pens message to England captain before Euro 2020 final

Harry Kane has been sent an emotional message by tearful wife Kate as he prepares for the Euro 2020 final.

The England captain scored the winning penalty against Denmark to send the Three Lions to their first major tournament final in 55 years.

Italy await at Wembley as Kane aims to seal his first piece of silverware in the most important game of his career.

Millions across the country will be hoping Kane can be the hero once more on Sunday – none more so than his wife Kate.

Kane, 27, tied the knot with wife Kate in 2019 after meeting at school and becoming childhood sweethearts.

And Kate admitted she was teary when writing one final good luck message to husband Harry ahead of Sunday's final.

"H, you know I’m not one to cry too easily but I found myself in tears when I started writing down how proud you’re making us all and what you’re doing for the country," she wrote for the Telegraph.

"I used to laugh at you when we started going out and you’d be round mine playing penalties with my brother Tom and Seamus the dog, and you’d say you would be England captain one day.

"But that’s you – you set yourself a goal and you achieve it and you always said you were going to the Euros to get to the final.

"You’re just such an amazing husband and dad, and the children can’t wait to have you home. Imagine telling them all about this summer one day when they’re a bit older.

"We all love you so much, Skipper. Bring it home for the country, you deserve to lift that trophy with this incredible England team!"

Kane and his England teammates are one step away from history, but face the ultimate test in the Azzurri, who are unbeaten in 33-games and will be coming to spoil the party at Wembley.
