Kane in ‘win-win’ situation ahead of Tottenham’s Man City showdown this weekend
Harry Kane is in a "win-win" situation ahead of Tottenham's match against Manchester City this weekend.
That is the opinion of former Spurs striker Darren Bent, who believes Daniel Levy would accept a £150m bid.
The two Premier League giants face each other this Sunday in one of the more enticing match-ups as the new season begins.
But the real drama is going on behind the scenes with City desperate to sign Tottenham's talisman Kane.
And the England international is keen on a move to the Etihad, too, after failing to turn up to training last week before releasing a statement that the situation had been planned.
It was believed that Kane would not make it back in time to start the match against Pep Guardiola's men.
With little time between his arrival back in London and Sunday, the chances that the striker would be fit without undergoing any real pre-season training would be slim.
Yet Nuno Espirito Santo has insisted the 28-year-old will be available for this weekend's clash and Bent believes that Kane will be the benefactor no matter what.
Should Kane leave Tottenham this summer? Comment below
He told talkSPORT: “I think if he was to play and say he does really well and scores the goals, that might just make the fans think he’s got the right attitude.
“And also that might just tempt Manchester City, especially if Spurs win and he scores, they might all of a sudden go ‘you know what, we do need this guy’.
“They’ll stop mucking around and give Daniel Levy £150m and get the deal done.
“If I’m Harry Kane, I think it’s a win-win.”
It comes after Nuno told Sky Sports News that Kane was available, saying: "All the players that are in the squad are available.
"It is up to us to decided who we think are the best options."
When asked about the wantaway striker specifically, he added: "All the players in the squad that are working on a daily basis will be options for us."
