Kalvin Phillips has already made feelings clear on Man Utd as transfer eyed
Manchester United are linked with a move for Kalvin Phillips in the summer transfer window with a defensive midfielder topping Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's wishlist.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable start to life in the Premier League, helping Leeds to a ninth-placed finish in their first season back in the top-flight.
Phillips has also formed an formidable partnership with Declan Rice at international level with the duo playing a key part of the Three Lions' run to the final of Euro 2020.
And now the man labelled the 'Yorkshire Pirlo' has a plethora of potential suitors with arch-rivals Manchester United desperate to land his signature.
But as a boyhood Leeds fan, Phillips has already given his answer on transferring to Old Trafford and his feelings for the Red Devils, who his family "hate".
Speaking to GQ at the start of last season, as reported by teamtalk, the 25-year-old confessed his love for his local side: “I want to be a player that’s got a lot of games to his name, but I want them to be games that mean something.
“And I want to play in the Europa League, the Champions League. But I want to do that, ideally with Leeds.

“With Leeds, and the way that we’re heading, there’s no reason why we shouldn’t.”
And when asked what Manchester United mean to him, Phillips replied with a curt: “Nothing.”
Despite reports that United are ready to table a £60 million bid for Phillips, the midfielder remains adamant his long-term future is at Elland Road.
The Red Devils see the Leeds midfielder as a cheaper option than England partner Declan Rice having been put off by the Hammers £90m valuation.
