Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic is reportedly looking to the exit because he has ‘lost the trust’ of manager Zinedine Zidane.

The 23-year-old Serbian striker joined the Galacticos in the summer of 2019 for £55m, but has struggled to adapt to life at the Spanish giants.

Having scored 27 goals in 48 appearances during his last year at Eintracht Frankfurt, Jovic has only scored twice in 32 games since moving to the Spanish capital.

Now Marca are reporting that Jovic is hoping to leave the club during the January transfer window, and Zidane won’t stand in his way.

The striker has been linked with moves to Serie A leaders AC Milan, as well as a move back to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Jovic has dropped to a third-choice centre-forward option for Zidane, behind Karim Benzema and Mariano Diaz.

Jovic has scored twice in 32 games for Real and Zidane (R) is said to be keen on an exit

So far this season he has played just 208 minutes across five matches, though he missed several matches due to Covid-19 and then a tear to his abductor muscle.

He hasn’t scored or assisted a goal this season, and last featured in a game back on November 8 during a heavy 4-1 defeat at Valencia.

Wolves have also previously been linked with Jovic, with The Athletic stating that they had made an enquiry for the striker, following the injury to Raul Jimenez which saw him have surgery on a fractured skull.
