Jesse Lingard's loan move to West Ham from Manchester United was an overriding success, and everyone involved benefitted from the deal.
Lingard flourished as he played first-team football, West Ham qualified for the Europa League as a result, and United saw their midfielder's value increase and confidence return.
The 28-year-old currently remains at Old Trafford, although West Ham boss David Moyes made it clear that he wanted Lingard to return to the London Stadium.
However, United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was happy to have Lingard back in his camp and confirmed that the England international was happy to battle for his future at the club.
Although Lingard's future seems to be in Manchester, he was delighted with his time at West Ham, scoring nine goals during his 16-game spell in London.
Lingard told MUTV: "It was a great time. It was like hitting the refresh button. "
The 28-year-old commented on how he felt back to his best: "I played every game since I got there and when you play a run of games like that you get a bit of confidence, of course, the goals came and assists as well."
Should Lingard return to West Ham? Comment below
Lingard was extremely reflective of his time, and said: "West Ham were brilliant with me: the team, the staff, the club. They helped me get to where I am but it took a lot of hard work from my side as well."
The Englishman looks set to compete for his place at United, but with a star-studded squad which has now been bolstered by the arrival of Jadon Sancho, it's yet to be seen how regular Lingard will feature.
Lingard only has 12 months left on his contract at Manchester United though, meaning West Ham may well try to sign their former loan star if he fails to break into the first-team.
