Jeff Stelling and Chris Kamara used for ‘perfect’ transfer announcement

Jeff Stelling and Chris Kamara were used in Portsmouth’s latest transfer announcement video which fans have labelled ‘perfect’.

League One club Portsmouth announced the signing of ex-Norwich City teenager Abu Kamara on Thursday and kept with the theme of hilarious unveiling videos.

Pompey first teased the imminent arrival as they posted a short clip of the iconic Soccer Saturday scene between Stelling and Kamara from 2010.

The "We’re off to Fratton Park where there’s been a red card, but for who Chris Kamara?" clip was used with ‘new signing’ dubbed over red card, whilst Kamara replied: “I don’t know Jeff, has there?”

A second said: “Chris Kamara and a new signing, what a combo!” With a third commenting: "This is perfect content.”

The clip from 2010 was a classic Kammy moment after he missed the sending off of Pompey’s Anthony Vanden Borre who everyone in the stadium saw receive a second yellow card on the hour mark, apart from the popular pundit.

Kamara previously recalled the gaffe to SportBible, where he said: "In my career, in terms of my TV career and Soccer Saturday, that is the defining moment because it could have so easily went the other way.

"But it went the right way and thankfully it did because it's been watched over 10 million times on YouTube and to this day, people still never get tired of seeing it.”
