Jarrod Bowen suffered a horrendous injury to his finger during West Ham’s Premier League clash with Wolves.

The England attacker sustained a dislocated finger during the contest, with one fan even quipping that it was so bad it was ‘facing 12 different directions.’

Another wrote in a caption next to the injured finger: "Nope nope nope."

One joked: "Great work from the sky commentator there… “Play stopped due a blow to the face for Bowen” as Bowens fingers are pointing in about 12 different direction. "A last one said: “Saw a picture of Jarrod Bowen's finger now am off to puke.” A

But it was not all doom and gloom for the attacker, who helped his side to their second league win of the season. Their 2-0 win over Wolves at the London Stadium lifted them up the Premier League table to 15th place – with the Midlands opposition dropping down to the bottom three.

Bowen got on the scoresheet with an individual solo goal – while Man of the Match Gianluca Scamacca got the pick of the bunch with the opening goal, hitting neatly on the half-volley from distance.

It comes after Hammers striker Michail Antonio made the claim that Bowen was one of the hardest working players on the training pitch.

Bowen was in brilliant form for West Ham last season – where he hit 18 goals and made for 13 assists in 51 games in all competitions.

He has been a coup signing ever since joining for £20 million for Hull City in January 2020. And Antonio sang the star’s praises ahead of West Ham’s match with Wolves.

Antonio was speaking on Goal’s YouTube channel and gave this response when asked which player has impressed him most in West Ham training: “The best player in training I would say maybe Jarrod Bowen,” he said. “He picks the ball up, he drives at anybody and he always finishes, he’s quality.”
