Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi is obsessed with the thought of signing Romelu Lukaku – making that his No 1 priority this summer as he dreams of a Lukaku, Paulo Dybala and Lautaro Martinez attack next season, according to reports.

Lukaku has been heavily linked with a return to Inter after a disappointing season at Chelsea, whom he joined from the Italian giants in a club-record £98million deal last August.

And according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inzaghi is desperate for the Belgium striker to return to the San Siro as he looks to reshape his squad.

The front cover of Friday’s Gazzetta dello Sport claims Inzaghi is keen to bring Lukaku back

They state that Inzaghi ‘can’t get the possibility out of his head’ and wants him ‘at all costs’.

Lukaku spent two campaigns at Inter – scoring 24 Serie A goals in his final term to help them to their first Scudetto in 11 years as the club put an end to Juventus’ nine-year reign as Italian top-flight champions.

Inter were pipped to the title this season by two points by bitter rivals AC Milan and Inzaghi is looking to atone for that.

As well as Lukaku, the Italian is set to sign Dybala on a free transfer from Juventus this summer.

And Gazzetta add that pairing the duo alongside Lautaro Martinez is the ‘dream’ of Inzaghi’s this summer – labelling it an ‘atomic attack’.

Lukaku and Martinez know each other well having been strike partners already at Inter. During their two years together, the pair scored a combined 104 goals (Lukaku – 64 and Martinez – 40) across all competitions.
