Ice-cool City star Kevin De Bruyne ducks missiles hurled by Arsenal supporters

Kevin De Bruyne cut a cool customer on and off the pitch as he inspired Manchester City to a major 3-1 victory against Arsenal.

City's creative wizard produced a Man of the Match performance at the Emirates on Wednesday (February 15) evening. De Bruyne opened the scoring in the first half by chipping Aaron Ramsdale after he'd latched onto Takehiro Tomiyasu's under-hit back-pass.

And he also set up Erling Haaland for his side's third goal of the night. In fact, his impressive performance didn't even stop when he was substituted for Kalvin Phillips in the dying embers of the game.

As he made his way around the pitch, De Bruyne was targeted by several home fans who threw bottles and cups at him. But he embraced his inner-Keanu Reeves and dodged all of the missiles, Matrix-esque.

The midfielder, 31, then gave a wry smile to the Arsenal supporters who had failed miserably in their attempts to hit him. Footage of the ice-cold moment was lapped up by City fans online.

One tweeted: "Kevin my goat." Another wrote: "KDB owns Arsenal officially." A third said: "What a player." And a fourth joked: "Arsenal fans throw bottles at De Bruyne as a sign that they have bottled the league."

De Bruyne got in on the action himself, posting two images to his Instagram story. The first captioned "Beer anyone?" was of him with an outstretched hand, while the second showed a cup flying past him with the caption: "Thanks!"

The win for City, who had been pegged back by Bukayo Saka's penalty shortly before the break but restored their lead through Jack Grealish in the second half, saw them return to the summit of the Premier League table for the first time since the second game of the season.

Their goal difference, which is 10 superior, has drawn them ahead of Arsenal, who are also on 51 points. The Gunners have a game in hand but the two sides still have to play each other at the Etihad on April 26, which could end up being a title decider.
