Ian Wright has joked that it was ‘not a straightforward’ trip to the Match of the Day studio after sharing an image of a car crash he was involved in.
The Arsenal legend is seen smiling on the side of the road but behind him his car appears heavily damaged especially to the bonnet.
Wright was on his way from his home in London to Salford where Match of the Day is filmed.

He tweeted to say nobody was hurt but warned his followed to look out for water on the road
Alongside the picture, Wright hailed his ‘amazing driver Jay and the brilliant emergency services.’ for their work in the incident.
The crash appears to have taken place on the M56 just before Manchester airport and Wright said it was down to water on the road. He also warned his followers to ‘be careful out there’ following Friday’s Storm Eustice.
Despite the crash, Wright confirmed he would still be appearing on Match of the Day to dissect Saturday’s Premier League action.
The Match of the Day pundit was on his way from his home in London to the BBC’s studios
