Henderson leaked Al Ettifaq video angers Liverpool fans after silence from clubs
Jordan Henderson's Liverpool future assessed
Jordan Henderson appears to have been filmed taking parting in an Al Ettifaq training session, with his exit from Liverpool not even announced. The midfielder is set to join the Saudi Pro League outfit in a deal worth £12million and has addressed fans to inform them of their exit, but leaked footage shows that his attention is already on settling in elsewhere.
After Al Ettifaq announced that Steven Gerrard had become their manager, it quickly became clear that the former Liverpool manager would look to make use of his ties in Merseyside. The ex-Aston Villa boss quickly made Henderson his top target, and he appears to have been granted his wish.
The England international swiftly had his head turned by the prospect of becoming the next Premier League star making the move to the Middle East. Henderson has already said his goodbyes and attempted to bid farewell to Liverpool supporters, but leaked footage of him already training in Saudi Arabia has left a bitter taste in the mouth of some fans.
Since- deleted clips on social media showed the ex-Sunderland star taking part in a training session with his new teammates, leaving some supporters furious. One fan (@kkchap26) wrote on Twitter: “Really disappointed with how Henderson handled his exit. So much leaked and now the training footage before it’s even been announced? Just felt like he’d have handled it a little more gracefully.”

Another (@incemeister) added: “[Henderson will] always be a legend but the way he’s left is in my opinion all wrong, just not right that he agreed terms before the clubs agreed a fee which seems to be the norm now, but training with them before a club announcement to the fans is I think disrespectful.”
Liverpool weren’t immune to criticism from their own supporters, with some feeling that they could have taken hold of the situation and ensured that the deal was wrapped up before leaked footage emerged.

Liverpool are in the heart of a midfield and with Fabinho also set to head to the Saudi Pro League, Jurgen Klopp will need to be granted at least one new midfielder. Southampton star Romeo Lavia is top of the shopping list at Anfield and a deal is edging closer for the Belgium international.
