Harry Kane was banned from Tottenham’s training ground in the final hours before his £100million transfer to Bayern Munich, according to a report.

The forward made the move to Germany in what is arguably the headline transfer of the summer, putting an end to his near-20-year stay with the Premier League side.

It was unclear for a while if Kane would leave Spurs or perhaps even sign a new deal, but Daniel Levy eventually signed off the transfer and the England captain departed.

And as Kane waited to fly to Germany to complete his move, he was reportedly stopped from entering the Spurs training ground in London before his departure.

According to the Telegraph, the club wrote in an email to Kane that it would not be appropriate for him to return to the ground before completing the move to Munich ‘to feel a new pressure of having to win titles’.

It is suggested that the forward was left unable to say his goodbyes to his former team-mates

It is said that the decision meant the club’s all-time leading goal scorer didn’t get the chance to say his goodbyes to staff and team mates or pick up any of his possessions, instead having to wait for them to be sent to him.

His family were also reportedly unable to access their suite at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The move seemingly contrasts Spurs’ stance that the forward is welcome back to the club any time despite his departure.

Kane continued to give his all for Tottenham despite the ongoing negotiations with Bayern Munich throughout the summer, and he did the same when Spurs received bids for his services from Manchester City two years ago.

Kane reportedly wanted to continue training incase the move collapsed but it was deemed inappropriate

He is said to have since said his goodbyes to Tottenham players and manager Ange Postecoglou on the phone

He was reportedly at one point considering signing a new contract with the club this summer if he wasn’t allowed to move, but his priority was always to join Bayern.

It is said that the 30-year-old wanted to train with the club before their first game of the season against Brentford but he was told it would not be appropriate to do so before the move.

Reports suggest Kane didn’t make it clear that he wanted to say his goodbyes, but was keen to continue training incase the move didn’t happen.

It is believed that new manager Ange Postegoclou and Spurs players have since said their goodbyes to Kane on the phone.
