Borussia Dortmund are reportedly willing to give talisman Erling Haaland a massive wage increase in a last ditch attempt to keep the striker at the club.
The 21-year-old has quickly become one of the most prolific strikers in the world, shattering records since his arrival in Germany in 2020.
He was heavily linked with a number of Europe’s elite clubs this summer but eventually stayed put at Dortmund after they reportedly rejected several bids of over £100million.
And now Sport Bild report the Norwegian phenomenon is being offered double his current salary by the club in order to sway his decision to leave at the end of the season.
The German club are claimed to be offering Haaland €15million (£12.7million), a sizeable improvement on his current €8million deal.
This comes after several clubs demonstrated their interest over the past few months, including Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City – where his father Alf Inge Haaland played.
After rejecting offers for the forward this summer, Haaland was expected to leave next summer when a £68million release clause in his contract becomes active.
That would effectively allow Haaland to choose from those expressing interest as more clubs would be able to meet the new fee.

But Sports Bild claim there is “a glimmer of hope” at Dortmund that their generational talent will stay beyond the summer as BVB sporting director Michael Zorc prepares a whopping contract offer.
The new deal would see Haaland’s salary surpass current captain Marco Reus’ €10million (£8.5million) package.
Meanwhile, the striker continues to amaze with his performances, scoring a remarkable 11 goals in eight matches this season.
The former RB Salzburg man has already broken the record for most Champions League goals before the age of 21 and his ferociousness in front of goal means he is tipped to become a future Ballon d’Or winner.
